A horribly staged corpse is found exactly on the German-Austrian border. Both countries send an investigator to investigate the case: for Ellie Stocker (Julia Jentsch) from Berchtesgaden it is the first major challenge in her career, while colleague Gedeon Winter (Nicholas Ofczarek) from Austria seems to have long since ended his life as a police officer. More victims will soon be found. Ellie and Gedeon face increasing pressure to understand the serial killer's motives and prevent more murders.

Filming for the Sky Original Production "Der Pass" began in November 2017 in Austria, directed by Cyrill Boss and Philipp Stennert. In addition to Julia Jentsch ("Sophie Scholl - The Last Days", "The Disappearance") and Nicholas Ofczarek ("Braunschlag", "Altes Geld") in the leading roles, Franz Hartwig, Hanno Koffler and Lucas Gregorowicz ("Lommbock", " SS-GB").
